Mrs. Eliza Harwood aged 69, died suddenly late Monday afternoon of heart trouble at her home 8 miles SW of this city. She had been troubled with heart attacks for some time and a sudden attack at 5:30 o'clock Monday caused her death. Mrs. Harwood was born Dec 29, 1854 in the same neighborhood where she spent her entire life. She was the daughter of John and Minerva Lewellen. In 1873 she was united in marriage with AJ Harwood, who survives her passing on. She was a member of the United Brethren Church at Union Chapel and faithful follower of the Master's Gospel. In addition to the husband surviving are 3 sons: Lon W, and Harry of this city and Charles at home; Mrs. DL Switzer, Waynetown and several brothers and sisters, including Candy and Harvey Lewellen of this city. Funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with burial in Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
